Tender Cousin's creative love affair began a few years ago in London when photographer Judith Erwes and illustrator Paul Bower started merging Judith's photographs with Paul's illustrations via various manual techniques, always being spontaneous and intuitive during the work process. Tender Cousin meticulously craft effortlessly overstated and strangely seductive images that leave you with a feeling as if the original photo started a journey and the creators did not exactly know where the image would lead them.
Judith and Paul both have successful careers as artists individually working for magazines, in publishing, on book projects and for private commissions.
